BINS Collections are usually on a Friday morning, with alternate weeks for recycling and non-recycling.

CHURCHES There are 2 churches in the village.  St. Mary Magdalene  is situated at the end of the village towards St.Nicholas. (The conservation area).  The Methodist Church is located approximately in the middle of the village- near to the school.  For further details please view the homepage of this website.

NEWSLETTER There is a Monkton Village Newsletter and Church Magazine which is produced every month.  Every household in Monkton should receive one.

POPULATION Current population of Monkton is approximately 669.  (In 1801 the population was 300.  In 1921 the population was 420)

POST BOXES There are two post boxes in the village. One is near Millers Lane, close to the church.  The other is positioned in a wall, diagonally opposite the lane which leads to the Recreation Ground.
